Uranquinty Solar Farm

 Providing energy that is

Renewable

Reliable &

Affordable

Located approximately 2km east of Uranquinty and 17km south-west of Wagga Wagga, the Uranquinty Solar Farm developed by CleanPeak Energy has been operating since early 2026. The 8.2MW photovoltaic electricity generating system is comprised of close to 13,500 solar panels, ground-mounted on a single axis tracking system to follow the daily east-west movement of the sun.

The solar farm layout was carefully designed to protect the environmental aspects of the site, minimise the removal of native vegetation and avoid areas of cultural sensitivity.

For Uranquinty

CleanPeak works with local subcontractors and suppliers wherever possible, and have set up a Community Benefits Fund to support local projects, events, and initiatives in Uranquinty across the life of the solar farm.

For the Climate

Once fully operational, the Wangaratta Solar Farm is expected to offset close to 10,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year, equivalent to taking more than 2,000 fuel-burning cars off the road.

For the Land

The site has been carefully placed to protect environmental values, minimise native vegetation removal and respect areas of cultural sensitivity, with our Net Positive Biodiversity Action Plan, guiding how the land is enhanced over time.

The Uranquinty Solar Farm is located approximately 2km east of Uranquinty and 17km south-west of Wagga Wagga.

The site is well positioned to deliver renewable energy into the surrounding distribution network, while being carefully designed to protect native vegetation and respect areas of cultural sensitivity.

With strong solar exposure across the Riverina region of New South Wales, this project is well placed to support reliable large-scale solar generation.
